Bengaluru-based Hyperlocal Social Network IamHere wins Elevate Award 2005

Bengaluru, August 16, 2005: IamHere, a Bengaluru based AI hyper-local social network wins the prestigious Elevate award for 2005. Elevate is a one-of-its-kind programme for start-ups conducted by the Government of Karnataka. The start-ups which gets selected receive support from the Government in the form of grants, mentorship and pilot opportunities in Govt projects.

“Over the last few years, the State of Karnataka has emerged as the Start-up Capital of India. IamHere is a hyperlocal social network which helps you in discovering and connecting with hobbyists, professionals, causes and events in your neighbourhood. The network has over 50K uses in Bengaluru itself and growing rapidly as we speak. The IamHere app has helped people in forming cricket teams, musical bands in finding guitarists, singers and other musicians, art lovers in connecting with artists, small businesses in hiring sales executives, NGO's in getting volunteers etc. It has also helped people in forming start-ups through the app.

Talking about the Elevate award, the Co-founder & CEO of IamHere, Mr.Naren Kumar spoke at the event.
